The Design
Our Charmouth client's criteria for this large kitchen design were fairly straight forward - they wanted to modernise the property with a new open layout, incorporating the dining room into the kitchen to maximise space. At the same time they didn't want to go overboard on the modern look, so our plan for a farmhouse grey, shaker-style kitchen kept some traditional features in the overall feel of the design.
The Process
Our design team took the brief from the client, using tall wall units in the kitchen to gain as much space as possible, right up to the ceiling, and incorporating clever storage solutions into every corner so no space was lost.
By adding a style of dresser with the use of base and wall units between the breakfast bar and the dining table, the shaker-style kitchen has continued to flow into the diner. The kitchen design also incorporated some valuable additional cupboard and worktop space, which has been used as a hot drink area (leaving valuable worktop space free in the rest of the kitchen).
This kitchen used Milbourne Partridge Grey doors with Egger laminate worktops.
